How can new mechanisms complement in the Paris Agreement regime progress climate-related objectives? What is the balance of competing interests in the Draft Conciliation Annex, for example between disputing States, non-disputing States, and other third parties such as NGOs, and what is the Draft’s approach to transparency versus confidentiality? What lessons can be learned from recent progress in the regime to define a response fund for loss and damage, and what more remains to be done for global climate compensation or restitution?
